The Town will be improving pedestrian accessibility along the Atkins Road corridor, connecting the existing sidewalk near Anya lane towards the Galloping Goose Regional Trail by the City of Langford border.
The project includes:
- Asphalt sidewalk and curbs
- A pedestrian crosswalk with near Myra Place, complete with street lighting
- Improved refuge for the westbound bus stop near Myra Place
The project budget is $900,000 with Provincial Grant Support of $500,000 as part of BC’s Active Transportation Infrastructure Grants Program
